Continuity of Operations

What happens to your mail and filings if we experience an outage, an emergency, or ever ceased operating? This page states our commitments honestly — without inventing certifications or capabilities we haven't verified.

Our Commitments

We are a small, privately held Texas company. We do not claim infrastructure we do not have. What follows are the real commitments we make to clients — modest, accurate, and verifiable.

1

Mail is logged on receipt

Every piece of physical mail received at our DeSoto location is logged when it arrives, including sender, date, and recipient. This log is retained and available to clients on request. We do not lose mail without documentation.

2

USPS Form 1583 records are retained per USPS rules

As a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA), we are required by USPS regulations to retain Form 1583 records (the notarized authorization you sign when establishing service) for a minimum of two years after service ends. We comply with this requirement. These records are not shared with third parties except as required by law.

3

Short-term outages: mail is held

If we experience a short-term disruption — a facility issue, illness, weather — incoming mail is held and not discarded. We will notify affected clients of any delay beyond two business days and provide a revised timeline. Physical mail cannot be forwarded retroactively, but it will not be lost.

4

Client data is not sold to third parties

Client records — mail logs, contact information, Form 1583 copies, business filings — are not sold or licensed to third parties. The sole exception is a sale of the business itself, described below.

Mail Logging and Records

Each piece of mail is logged when received at 211 E Pleasant Run Rd, Ste 200, DeSoto, TX 75115. The log captures the date of receipt, sender name and return address as visible on the envelope, the client it is addressed to, and its disposition (forwarded, held, scanned, or returned to sender). Clients may request their mail log at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

USPS CMRA Requirements

We operate as a CMRA under USPS regulations. USPS rules require that CMRAs:

  • Collect and retain a signed, notarized USPS Form 1583 from every mailbox holder
  • Verify the identity of each mailbox holder using two acceptable forms of ID
  • Retain Form 1583 records for a minimum of two years after service ends
  • Deliver or forward mail only to the holder of record or their authorized agents

We comply with these requirements. If the USPS or law enforcement presents a lawful demand for records, we are required by law to cooperate. See our Privacy Policy for our full data practices.

If the Business Is Ever Sold

If Business Growth House or the Get Business Address service were ever sold or transferred to a new owner, client records — including Form 1583 records, mail logs, and contact information — would transfer to the new owner as part of the business. Clients would be notified in writing of the ownership change before it took effect, with reasonable time to redirect mail or terminate service if they chose. Any new owner would be bound by the same USPS CMRA obligations described above.

If We Ceased Operating as a CMRA

If we ever ceased operating as a CMRA, we are required under USPS procedures to coordinate the orderly transition of mail services. Our commitment in this scenario:

  • We would provide written notice to all active clients at least 30 days before ceasing CMRA operations, to give them time to redirect mail and update their business addresses with vendors, the state, and the IRS
  • We would coordinate with USPS for mail forwarding as required by applicable USPS procedures during the wind-down period
  • Client Form 1583 records would be retained for the required minimum period even after operations ceased
  • Client records would not be transferred to any unrelated third party — only to a successor CMRA in the event of a structured handoff, or retained by us in secure storage for the required retention period
Honest scope of this statement

This page reflects our genuine commitments and USPS obligations. We are not claiming ISO certifications, SLA guarantees, bonded insurance, or redundant data centers that we have not verified. If your business requires a higher tier of documented operational assurance, we encourage you to evaluate that need against what we have stated here before signing up.
